NOTE FOR CUSTOMERS REQUESTING SERVICE:  If you are requesting water service in the Crown area/Stewarts Run near the Crown area, you must first establish service with Greater Paw Paw Sanitary District (a separate company from Paw Paw Rt. 19 PSD).  They can be reached directly at 304-278-2078 between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm., Monday through Friday with exception of holidays.  Any sewer service billing questions should be directed to them.

DROP BOX for PAYMENTS/CORRESPONDENCE AVAILABLE AT 

Arnettsville Community Center

DROP BOX is situated along driveway on the library end of the Community Center located at 4120 Fairmont Road.  The Drop Box is a locked black mailbox with our water faucet logo displayed, labeled Paw Paw Rt 19 PSD and IS NOT A USPS MAILBOX, requires no postage.   Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

Contents of the Drop BOX are collected daily at 2:00pm (with exception of Sundays or state/federal holidays).  Correspondence or payments in the box at 2:00 pm will be credited that day, anything left after 2pm will be collected & credited the next day collection day.  Subject to posted rules at drop box site. Established April 12, 2019.

COVID-19 Impact

We continue to take precautions to ensure our operations will not be interrupted due to this outbreak, and maintain our established schedule.  During this COVID-19 event, our utility personnel will observe all social distancing guidelines issued as they conduct necessary tasks and we ask that you do the same in order to keep customers and workers safe.  

During this COVID-19 event, customers desiring to attend monthly meetings, are asked to make an appointment through the office, so that we may prepare the meeting area and maintain current social distancing requirements, and will follow current CDC guidelines.

To Register with Payclix:  First time users will need their assigned CUSTOMER ACCOUNT NUMBER, the most recent TOTAL BALANCE DUE, as it appears on the most recent billcard (not a termination notice) and the ZIPCODE as shown on bill.  Please contact the office for this information if you have trouble registering.   To pay your bill by phone, you must call Payclix at 1-866-729-2549, our office cannot accept payments by credit card or by phone.  NOTE: This is an online payment system only & account balances reflect amount billed on first of month and again on 17th of month, but is NOT updated daily, so may not reflect your true current balance.


Lead Service Line Inventory (LSLI) completed.

We thank the customers for their responses to the survey and for their cooperation in completing this endeavor.  All data compiled was uploaded to the LSLI Database October 16, 2024.  Any entries at that time that were listed as 'unknown' have since been verified as non-lead and uploaded to database.

Paw Paw Rt. 19 PSD has no lead distribution lines on its' system.  A hardcopy of the database information is available to view for any persons wanting specific information regarding the database content.  Contact the office to arrange an appointment.

To report WATER EMERGENCY/Leak Siting EVENTS: 

call  304-983-5632   .... This # is NOT for nonpayment shutoffs OR billing                                                           related questions / problems.

Callers should leave a message including name, callback phone #, and BRIEF info of emergency.  This automatically notifies field staff and one call per household/per event is all that is needed.  Upon notification, field staff will begin to investigate the problem, and may contact customer for more information, if needed.  If the Field staff updates the office, of any impact the emergency event will have on multiple customers and/or gives a progress update, this information will be added to our office phone message system.

The Paw Paw Rt. 19 Public Service District (PPPSD) is a public water utility created in 1963 by the Marion County Commission, for the purpose of managing the development and maintenance of a water system.  Legislature authorizes the public service districts (PSDs) to help extend services to rural areas and allow municipal water and sewage systems to become more efficient by sharing services and resources with surrounding areas.   Our service area includes a portion of Rt. 19 in Marion County, with the majority of customers in Monongalia County, along Rt. 19, River Road, Hagans Road, Stewarts Run and includes communities of Everettsville, Crown, Hagans, Arnettsville & Georgetown.

As required, the Paw Paw Rt. 19 PSD monitors for contaminants in our water supply.  We hereby give notice that we experienced a sampling & reporting violation for missing the 2nd Bac-T sample for the month of June, 2024.  The sample was taken July 1, 2024; no impact to water quality, sample was negative.  (see .PDF below) issued by the state Office of Environmental Health Services during monitoring period of

REMINDER:  The final Step 3 RATE (Tariff #29) of the previously approved City of Fairmont rate increase went into effect beginning with July 1, 2024 usage (August 1, 2024 billing).  Tariff #29 rates are printed on back of all billcards, posted on this website and posted at the Arnettsville Community Center and are available by calling or emailing the PSD office.

​Customer Information Survey Lead Service Line Inventory

The Paw Paw Rt. 19 PSD is regulated by the Public Service Commission of West Virginia (PSC).  A three-member Board of Directors appointed by the Marion County Commission oversees the management of the utility which purchases its' pre-treated water supply from the City of Fairmont.  Water samples/testing performed as required and chlorine added as needed.
